Did Outtahere Sell Expired Food?

It’s pretty sad knowing that this may be the case at a large amount of Bon Appetite locations from airports to school cafeterias, and at the end of it all they still manage to mark up the prices of food to ridiculous levels.

How Much Would You Pay for News?

What is the Internet then? Isn’t it just a heap of information waiting to be browsed through? I don’t see how passing a link to a news article is much different than sharing my newspaper with the person next to me on the bus. That being said, unless the whole industry agreed to a paid model (which would be very unlikely), we’ll likely see the continued trend of free news. Now, it’s how the newspaper industry shapes to the challenges ahead that will make all the difference. Is the Huffington Post model the way of the future? Textile industry anyone?

USFtv Loses Advisers: Staff disappointed, yet hopeful about future

Yeah, I’ll have to agree with Anonymous, the right people were contacted.

Marquez is Next ASUSF President by Wide Margin

Great coverage of this Hunter! Way to get em while the news is fresh! Also, I wanted to congratulate all of the winners of this year’s election. It was definitely one of the most exciting elections that I’ve seen during my time here at USF. Tata!

Geek Squad: Dreamcast

“That about wraps things up for the Dreamcast. Though Sega hasn’t made a system since, rumors have started to pop up recently that the company may be making a return to the hardware business in some form or another, so we must wait and see what the future holds.”

Wow a new system? That’d be nice! I’m tired of all these terrible Sonic games for every other console. As for the list, good job…sad to see that Soul Caliber didn’t make it though. I’m still holding a grudge from the n64 list, but alas I love your series and look forward to next week’s installment.

Getting Down with USF’s WOTL

“SM : Postal Service is never far from us too.. don’t forget. Whoa, did everyone just lose hope in WOTL at this point in the interview? [ha ha ha]”

Love it! And actually yes I did lose hope. jp :-)

Students Protest: Popular Adjunct Professor Not Rehired

I just want to offer up my applause to the students involved in this, it’s great to see USF students fighting for their fair-say in who teaches them. Way to go everyone!

ASUSF Budget Does Not Reflect Student Work

@jon coon: I personally wanted to thank you for making yourself available for discussion last week. While I understand that you couldn’t speak freely of everything due to your involvement in the Finance committee, I did want to acknowledge the fact that you were willing to listen and give appropriate feedback to our issues at the Foghorn w/ the released budget. Thank you.

Geek Squad: 1-5 Top N64 Games

BAH! I don’t know about this Johnny, you make me happy with BK on the list but then you totally bum me out with having Paper Mario above both Goldeneye and OoT. Either way, great job on the lists, you really have become somewhat of a local celebrity. Keep up the good work!

ASUSF Budget Does Not Reflect Student Work

Bravo on a well articulated piece that not only brings to light an issue that has certainly been on the minds of many students here at USF, but also gives hope that we can recreate a fairer budget that is reflective of the student input here at USF. I look forward to other peoples comments, not only from Senate and the Finance Committee, but other funded accounts.

Wikis, Blogs and Ajax are Not Enough

@jason: Thanks for the input, and yes maybe one day I’ll be ready to get involved in the business itself. Till then, I’m a sponge for new information :-)

Geek Squad: 6-10 Top N64 Games

I have to agree with David, while I might be upset about a couple of your choices I can’t deny the fact that there are some really great games that were left off of this list that might end up in the top five. both conker and super smash bros were great games, don’t know though if they were better than either 007 or OoT

Geek Squad: 6-10 Top N64 Games

Wow Mario Party above both Goldeneye and Gemini? What’s next, Space Station Silicon Valley? And LoZ:OoT? Not number one? Ah! Banjo Kazooie and Mario Kart 64 better be up there then. I don’t know Johnny, I just don’t know about this.

Going Blind Never Slowed Down AJ Smith

Great article about a great student here at USF! Thanks for this, both of you.

White Whale To Give USF's Web Site a Face-Lift

I am eager to see what White Whale will do with the USF website. I encourage all readers to visit their blog and leave a comment on what you would like to see in the design.

Pulitzer Winner Highlights Technology, Multimedia

Great coverage of a great lecture. I appreciate his openness to new media, although judging from the way he has actually used twitter ( @joseiswriting ), he has much to learn about being active in the public realm. I think since adding him, I’ve seen him update only a handful of times - never once really engaging his followers for feedback. Either way, it’s good to see journalists turn to new media and technology.

Geek Squad: The Playstation

Ah, Driver! Great pick for this week. Can’t wait till next week’s N64 (my favorite system as well)
