The University of San Francisco’s Donahue Rare Book Room is not in danger of being closed and no current items have been identified as potential items to be auctioned off, according to Gleeson Library Dean Tyrone Cannon, who called the room “an indefinite part of the library.”

According to University President Fr. Steven Privett S.J., USF is sifting through a range of university assets and compiling a list of items that may be expendable in an economic emergency. Among them is the Universities collection of rare books.
